Cashflow forecasting and live landed COGS.
Invoices linked to POs, POs linked to receipts, receipts linked to landed cost. FIFO COGS recomputed on every receipt and return. A/P, GL, and cashflow on a closed loop with operations. Clean export to QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or your warehouse.
The shape of finance in CCEN.
Finance is the books-of-record app. It runs on the Order, Inventory Movement, and Vendor records, and produces cashflow forecasts, A/P workflows, FIFO COGS, and GL-ready accruals. Period close is days, not weeks, because the data is already reconciled. Multi-entity, multi-currency, and inter-company elimination are first-class for portfolio brands.
FIFO COGS, to the order.
Every order's cost-of-goods is computed FIFO from the inventory movement ledger. When a receipt lands at a new unit cost, future orders pull from the new layer. Returns re-stock at the original layer's cost. Write-offs charge a separate ledger.
Margin per order is a real number, not an average. The margin column on the Orders table reflects what the SKU actually cost when this specific unit shipped, including landed freight, duties, and inspection fees if they were captured on the PO. Shopify and QBO both run weighted-average and round at the period; CCEN runs FIFO and reports per order.
When you sign off on margin at month-end, the margin is what shipped, not what averaged. The CFO can audit a sample of orders and trace each cost layer back to the PO and the receipt.
PO, receipt, invoice, matched.
When a vendor invoice lands, CCEN matches it to the PO and the receipt automatically. Three-way match flags discrepancies: missing receipts, over-billed lines, freight surcharges that don't match the contract. Approvers see a single page with the matched records and the flagged variance.
Bill payment runs through your payment rails. ACH, wire, virtual cards. Each payment writes to the GL and reconciles back to the bank when the bank feed clears. Settle and Bill.com style. No copy-paste from one system to another.
Vendor terms and discounts are first-class. Net 30, Net 60, 2/10 net 30, custom terms per PO. The cashflow forecast respects them. The discount-capture report tells you which discounts you're missing, and which you're capturing.
GL accrual ready, without rebuilding.
CCEN produces accrual-basis financials directly from the operational ledger. Revenue accrues on ship date, not on payout date. COGS accrues against the matching units. Refunds and returns reverse cleanly. Shipping income, marketplace fees, and payment processor fees roll up to their own GL accounts.
Multi-entity and multi-currency are first-class. Brands roll up to a parent. Inter-company eliminations net out cleanly. The CFO sees a real consolidated P&L without exporting six tabs to Excel.
Period close runs as a pre-flight: open POs aged, unresolved variances, missing receipts, suspended payments, all surfaced as a checklist. When the checklist is clean, close. The auditor sees the same checklist next quarter.
Three lines you can hand to your auditor, before the next quarterly.

What close week looks like in CCEN.
Most controllers close the month in three weeks because the data is in pieces. CCEN's close runs as a pre-flight checklist: open POs aged, unresolved variances, missing receipts, and suspended payments, all surfaced as a list with one-click drilldowns. When the checklist is clean, close. The screenshot below is the close view at Northshore Outfitters during a recent month-end.

Bidirectional sync to the accounting tools controllers use, plus the bank feeds, payment processors, and audit rails the rest of the org depends on.
“We were closing the month in three weeks with two accountants and a contractor. CCEN's three-way match and live COGS got us to a three-day close with one accountant. The accrual lands clean every time.”
